About the Association

Göteborgs Bluesförening is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting blues and related music. Our goal is to balance established acts with emerging young musicians. We host larger concerts at Musikens Hus, featuring various artists across two stages at each event.

Additionally, we organize smaller concerts approximately every other Wednesday at Musikens Hus (Blues i Hängmattan) and hold member parties about once a year. For over 20 years, we have successfully arranged Göteborg Blues Festival at Villa Belparc in Slottsskogen, thanks to the support of many volunteers; however, the festival is currently on hold.

During July and August, we have been booking blues bands on Wednesdays in collaboration with Kajskjul 8, so don't forget to check the schedule!

Membership

The annual membership fee is 300:-. Membership cards can be obtained at our concerts or by paying via our bankgiro or Swish (details under Contacts). Please provide your name (not required for Swish), address, and email.

Members receive a 50:- discount on concert entry (depending on the type of event) and a couple of newsletters per year. Additionally, you'll enjoy discounts at Nefertiti (for blues events) and concerts organized by affiliated blues associations under Blues i Väst (note: discounts do not apply to Åmåls bluesfestival).

Members from other blues associations enjoy the same discounts as Göteborgs Bluesförening members.

Youth Discount

For those up to 25 years old, a 50% discount on entry prices applies. Note: ID required!
