Reminders:
Good tread and comfortable hiking boots or trail runners are preferred.
Trekking poles are optional, but they keep the hands from swelling and help with up/downhill descents.
Plus bring a bag to put your trash in. We do adhere to the Leave No Trace principles, so please do practice it!
These items should always be on your hiking checklist:

  • Hiking pack
  • Weather-appropriate clothing (think moisture-wicking and layers) Bring layers, jacket, gloves according to the weather forecast.
  • Hiking footwear
  • Plenty of food/Snacks- enough to fuel your body and water to quench your thirst.
  • Plenty of water-2-3 liters is recommended.
  • Navigation tools such as a map and compass
  • First-aid kit
  • Knife or multi-tool
  • Sunscreen
  • Bring a hat (This trial has some shade)
