Can You Dig It?
À propos de l'événement
Join us for an adventurous and educational experience where kids will dig for artifacts, identify mysterious objects, and use scientific techniques just like real archaeologists! Inspired by Canada's first paleontologist, Elkanah Billings, children aged 8 to 11 can get their hands dirty in a simulated excavation site at one of Ottawa's historic homes.

Each session features a unique theme repeating monthly:
- Archeology (July 9 & August 5): Discover the Billings family's history and learn to identify various artifacts!
- Geology (July 16 & August 12): Unearth secrets from our natural history and explore geological samples.
- Paleontology (July 23 & August 19): Dive into the fascinating world of plant and animal fossils!
- Beyond the Pit (July 30 & August 26): Share the story of your excavation and curate your own museum exhibition!
