Join us for an enriching journey into the world of carpentry, perfect for those wanting to create lasting pieces from wood! Over 12 evenings, you'll master essential woodworking skills with the guidance of our experienced instructor, Len Conway.

What You Will Learn:

• Tool Mastery: Get acquainted with basic tools and how to equip your home carpentry toolbox.
• Timber Techniques: Discover the art of timber selection, marking, and cutting materials. Learn tips on choosing woods and utilizing saws and drills effectively.
• Joinery Skills: Practice using planes and chisels to create a variety of wood joints, including half joints, lap joints, bridle joints, and mortise and tenon.
• Hands-On Project: As you progress, you will work on your own project to design and construct a simple frame table, which you can take home!
  • Measure, mark, and cut pieces from selected pine.
  • Assemble your project securely using suitable adhesives or screws.
  • Finish it off with sanding, preparing it for staining or waxing.
