🕉 CHOKHOR DUCHEN (DRUKPA TSE-SHII)

Join us in commemorating the First Turning of the Wheel of Dharma by Lord Buddha Shakyamuni. This event is dedicated to the peace and happiness of all beings and the flourishing of the Buddha’s teachings.

📖 KANGYUR RECITATION

As part of this sacred observance, we’ll engage in the collective reading and recitation of the Kangyur, which translates the Buddha’s teachings into Tibetan. This revered practice aims to purify negative karma, remove obstacles, and generate blessings and merit for all sentient beings.

Program Schedule:

• 7:30 AM - 8:00 AM – Breakfast Offering
• 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM – Morning Puja and Kangyur Shyalaka (Recitation)
• 8:30 AM – Main Special Puja (Sang, Serkim, Neten Chyakchoe, and Prayers commemorating the First Turning of the Wheel of Dharma)
• 1:00 PM – Community Lunch Offering
• 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM – Chokhor Duchen Cultural Dance Program
