Dive into the world of Mokuhanga, the traditional Japanese water-based woodblock printing technique! As part of the Dublin By Dusk initiative, this workshop will be held at the National Museum of Ireland, Kildare Street. Embrace the art of creating beautiful prints using eco-friendly practices in a meditative environment. 🌿

What You'll Learn:

• The Japanese kento registration system
• Basics of Mokuhanga prints
• How to use traditional Japanese brushes
• Carving techniques
• Preparing a block for printing
• Traditional paper laying methods
• Printing techniques, including bokashi (gradation)
