Creating Interactive Fiction in Twine
Do you enjoy choose-your-own-adventure games and/or books? Have you ever thought about making your own? Then come learn about the world of interactive fiction and create your own interactive fiction in the free game engine Twine.
You will learn how to use the game engine Twine which is used mainly for interactive fiction online. We'll explore what Twine is along with some game examples, before we dive into the basics of the engine.
This is a beginner-friendly event where the focus will more so be on narrative design(making interesting story choices/story branching) and only focusing on very basic code.
By the end of this workshop, you will have a small, branching game that you can upload to your own personal website or to the free indie game platform itch.io!
All you need is a computer with a keyboard that can get on the internet.
