Xiangsheng, a unique Chinese folk art rooted in the linguistic nuances of China, showcases two performers in a delightful exchange of witty dialogues. 🤹‍♂️ With a history dating back to the Ming Dynasty, it weaves humor through clever banter, puns, allusions, and imitations, blending entertainment with cultural heritage.

As a pioneer in the revival of xiangsheng, Guo Degang, a distinguished disciple of the legendary artist Hou Yaowen, has dedicated the last 30 years to revitalizing this craft. Under his leadership, De Yun She has transcended from small venues to prominent stages worldwide, leaving its mark across the United States, Canada, Germany, Japan, Singapore, and beyond. 🌍

Commencing in April 2026, Guo Degang and fellow artist Yu Qian will embark on the 2026 Crosstalk World Tour, bringing the essence of Chinese humor to audiences on six continents. They will create cultural connections, soothing overseas Chinese communities, while allowing people from diverse backgrounds to relish the charm and artistic essence of xiangsheng.
