Does ChatGPT Know Your Startup Exists? (A hands-on GEO working session for builders)
Every builder is fighting for distribution, and distribution has quietly moved. When someone asks ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Google's AI Overviews "what's the best tool for X", a handful of products get named and everyone else is invisible. Most founders have no idea where they stand.
This is a hands-on working session on Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO): how AI assistants decide which brands to cite, and what builders can do about it this week, with zero budget.
Format: A short practitioner talk, followed by live audits. We will pull up attendees' actual startups, check how AI engines currently see them, and work through fixes together. Everyone leaves with a GEO checklist they can execute over a weekend.
Led by: Ashkar Gomez, founder of 7 Eagles (a GEO-focused agency) and the Marketstro marketing leaders community, co-hosted with Women in Product Marketing (WIPM), a 4,300+ member global product marketing community with an active Bangalore chapter. Two communities, one very 2026 problem, and a room where builders walk out with their AI visibility measurably better than when they walked in.
Target Audience: Early-stage founders, indie builders, and growth or PMM operators at startups. Anyone whose product needs to show up when people ask AI "what should I use for X".
Venue details will be shared shortly with confirmed attendees.
This event is part of Basecamp, a community-powered tech week in Bengaluru bringing founders, builders, and operators together. Basecamp is free for the community and powered by the community.
