⚡️Every Body Moves: Dance Together SF

Street dance was born to connect people through movement and music.
For generations, people have gathered to express identity, build belonging, and create culture together. The dance floor was never just a stage. It was, and still is, a place of birth. Culture is born when dancers freestyle moves encoded with history, identity, and meaning.
Connection starts from inside. As a dancer you need to know the vocab before you can freestyle.
This is your chance to learn to dance, and then dance!

We’re crafting a night of freedom on the dance floor. OG Bay Area dancers Dennis Infante, Karla Flores, Nicole Klaymoon, and Francis Anthony Cailles will teach you hip hop, house, and waacking.
Before you have a chance to forget every move, class will become a dance party with DJ Proof. As the lights dim, trained “Freestyle Friends” will show you how to string moves together and play.
We'll give you a taste of what makes street dance culture so powerful through three styles, each with its own energy and perspective.
Hip Hop with Dennis Infante to uncover quiet confidence, rhythm, and play
House  with Nicole Klaymoon and Jardy Santiago to invite flow, freedom, musicality, and connection.
Waacking with Karla Flores to unleash expression, individuality, and the courage to be fully seen.
Come for the dance. Leave with a deeper connection to yourself, your community, and the joy of moving together.

Love to dance? Learn to be a Freestyle Friend.
Take one (or all) of our Freestyle trainings and join the dance party for free!

About the Venue
The Fold is a member-run "third space" in San Francisco designed to prototype affirmative futures. We curate the conditions for emergent collaboration through serendipitous encounters, serious play, radical hospitality, and a commitment to regenerative mutualism. The Fold functions as a gallery, cafe, and workshop all at once—designed to linger in, not just pass through.

Parking & Transportation
We highly recommend utilizing public transit or rideshare apps, as the venue is located in the Mission and parking in the area can be limited.
Public Transportation:The venue is a 6 minute walk (approx. 0.3 miles) from the 24th Street / Mission Station.
Several major bus lines run nearby, including the 14, 14R, 48, 49 (which drop off near 26th street)
Parking:Limited metered and hourly street parking is available on neighboring streets, with a few two hour parking spots sometimes available. Please read all posted signs carefully regarding time limits and street sweeping.
Accessibility & Considerations
No Elevator Access: The venue is located on the ground floor with no stairs. The weekday dance classes will be downstairs while the weekend party will be on the ground floor. Unfortunately, there is no ramp access for the downstairs class. We sincerely apologize to our friends in the community for whom this poses a barrier to entry.
Seating: This is a high-energy, standing, and dancing event. Limited perimeter seating will be available for those who need a break from the dance floor, but expect a mostly open, high-movement space.
Sensory Note: If you are sensitive to loud environments, we highly recommend bringing earplugs.

About the Future of Us Festival
Launching on America's 250th anniversary, the inaugural Future of Us festival is a 10-day celebration of civic imagination and possibility. We're turning community-sourced, expert-crafted visions of the future into art, storytelling, and participatory experiences. With 100+ events spanning every corner of the city (floral labyrinths, speculative future worlds, dance parties with a purpose, and neighborhood meet-ups), it's a living exploration of what a more creative and generative civic culture could feel like. Organized around four themes (Green Futures, Social Futures, Science & Tech Futures, and Media Futures), Future of Us is breaking down the barriers between art, ideas, and each other, and everyone is invited to co-imagine what comes next.

About the Future Culture Fellows Program
The Future Culture Fellowship is a yearlong program that resources the people best positioned to shape the future of civic life in San Francisco: the community builders, artists, and grassroots visionaries already rooted in neighborhoods and traditions across the Bay. Fellows design and host original, science- and arts-centered experiences that reflect their unique perspectives on what's possible, and become part of a growing Future Culture Collective dedicated to making civic life in SF more vibrant, connected, and imaginative. The event you're signing up for was dreamed up by one of the 2026 Fellows.
