Family Program: Build Upper Manhattan LEGO Event

Join us for an exciting day of creativity and collaboration as we use 100,000 LEGO blocks to construct Upper Manhattan!
Explore landmarks from Harlem’s Abyssinian Baptist Church to El Barrio’s Artspace PS109, and help us celebrate the rich cultural and architectural heritage of our community.
Event Highlights:
- Hands-On Experience: Children (8+) and their grownups will team up to build a selected building from their neighborhood.
- Team Dynamics: Teams can consist of a maximum of 4 participants, including at least one adult.
- Collaborative Building: Spend approximately two hours designing and constructing your LEGO masterpiece.
- Heritage Representation: At the end, place your creation on our architectural heritage map, showcasing the variety of heritage sites in Upper Manhattan.
- Photo Opportunities: Capture your creations before returning them for repurposing. Each team will receive a printed “Architectural Treasure Hunt Map” to keep exploring the rich heritage sites around.

- Location: P.S. 171 Patrick Henry Preparatory School, 19 E 103rd St., New York, NY 10029
- Admission: Your ticket grants you free access to the Museum of the City of New York on the day of the event.
- Note: This program is designed to include children ages 8 and up. Grownups must accompany their children at all times. Limited to 50 teams.
