✍🏽 Film Girlz Brunch: Spring Break Writer's Retreat

By popular demand, the FGB Writer's Retreat is back and better than ever! 🌸 This cozy two-day creative sanctuary is designed specifically for women and femmes in film — a low-pressure, inspiring space to reconnect with your projects and reset your creative energy.

Taking place at the gorgeous York Manor in Highland Park and generously presented by Meadow, this retreat welcomes you wherever you are in your writing journey — whether you're polishing a feature script, outlining a pilot, journaling your goals, or simply brainstorming and researching. If you have a creative project calling your name, this retreat is for you! 🎬💻

📅 Schedule

The retreat runs Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17, with access to the space from 10am to 6pm each day. Each day will be intentionally relaxed in structure to allow for maximum creative flow. A firmer schedule will be provided closer to the event — but here's a taste of what to expect:

• 🌅 Morning Rituals & Intention Setting to ease you into a creative headspace
• 📝 Extended, uninterrupted writing blocks with soft background music and cozy nooks
• 🥐 Pastries, Snacks & Tea/Coffee provided throughout the day
• 👥 Small group share-outs at the close of each day to build momentum and connection
• 🎙️ Open Mic Script Share (Day 2) — read a few pages, pitch an idea, or simply soak in the inspiration as others share their work
• 💛 Good, supportive vibes all around!

🍱 Lunch and dinner are BYO each day, or join an optional group order — keeping things flexible and affordable for everyone.
