New York’s first and only all-female mariachi group, Flor de Toloache has revolutionized the international music scene with their fresh and powerful approach. Founded in 2008 by Mireya I. Ramos (violin and vocals) and Shae Fiol (vihuela and vocals), the band blends traditional mariachi roots with influences from rock, jazz, pop, and R&B, creating a unique sound that transcends cultural and gender boundaries. Featuring members from Mexico, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Cuba, Colombia, Germany, Italy, and the United States, their ethnic diversity is reflected in an artistic vision that both honors tradition and reinvents the genre for new audiences. Winners of the Latin Grammy in 2017 for Best Ranchero/Mariachi Album and Grammy nominees in 2020, Flor de Toloache has established itself as one of the most innovative groups in Latin music. They have shared the stage with Café Tacvba, Natalia Lafourcade, La Santa Cecilia, Mon Laferte, and John Legend, and have performed at world-renowned festivals and venues such as Coachella, the ACL Festival, the Ryman Theater.
