🌟 What to Expect
Unwriting the Artist’s Statement
This workshop encourages you to break free from the confines of International Art English, inviting a refreshing approach to discussing your artwork. You’ll learn to speak directly to your creations, moving away from the formal criticism often associated with contemporary art.
Through a series of guided prompts, improvisational techniques, and gentle exercises, you will explore methods of self-expression that embrace revision, association, and a delightful random quality. The emphasis is on how to communicate through your art rather than letting language drift apart from your practice.
💡 Highlights of the Workshop
- Develop personal language that feels genuine and spontaneous
- Dismantle rigid language habits surrounding formal art discourse
- Enhance your confidence in articulating your artistic practice
- Create tangible materials you can further explore post-session
- Connect with other lovely individuals who share similar questions related to art and language.
