This spectacular closing day will feature the mesmerizing performances of:
An observer of waves, Huda's creations span across Tunisia, Palestine, Egypt, and the United States. Based between Cairo and Brooklyn, Dr. Asfour's work intertwines song, improvisation, and collective listening. Experience her unplugged solo project “Naqous”, where she brings the spoken word to the forefront of the musical encounter. Through the oud, her voice, and looping techniques, Huda delves into themes of repetition as memory and resistance, offering a reflective catharsis—a prayer for clarity amidst the chaos.
The contemporary Armenian Folk ensemble will perform original compositions alongside classical pieces from the Anatolian region. Led by oud player and composer Samuel Sjostedt, the ensemble includes Alek Surenian on percussion, Filippo Novi-Goller on bass, and Mehrpouya Daneshvar on clarinet. They blend Jazz with Western classical influences, inviting audiences to embrace a soundscape of generational music in real time.
Get ready for a day filled with enchanting sounds and artistic expression! 🎵✨
