Hydrant Party - Densmore Park, Parking Lot

Join us for free, family-friendly recreational water play events! 💦 These gatherings provide a fun way for community members to cool off outdoors after the City pool season ends on August 9.

Maggie Stuckey-Ross, Parks and Recreation Director, shares: “Fire Hydrant Parties are more than just a fun gathering – they bring essential cooling relief to our neighborhoods at the hottest point of the summer.”

Each event will feature hydrant-connected water spray features, supported by Lincoln Transportation and Utilities, Lincoln Fire and Rescue, and Lincoln Police Department with various activities. 📚 A Lincoln City Libraries Bookmobile will be present at the events on August 14 and August 21.

Important Notes:

• Children must be accompanied by an adult.
• Appropriate footwear is recommended as these events take place in parking lots.
• No registration is required.

Event Schedule:

• August 10 – Densmore Park parking lot, 6701 S. 14th St.
• August 14 – UPCO Park parking lot, North 40th and Adams streets
• August 17 – Arnold Heights Park parking lot, Northwest 54th Street and West Knight Drive
• August 21 – Roberts Park parking lot, 58th and Sumner streets

All events run from 4:30 to 6 p.m.
