Join us in celebrating Indigenous Peoples Month at this vibrant, family-friendly festival! 🎉 Experience the rich cultural expressions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples of Turtle Island through traditional and contemporary music, dance, artisan crafts, and culinary delights.

Workshops & Activities:

  • Métis Jigging with Toronto Jiggers and Strings at 11 a.m., noon, and 1 p.m.
  • Inuit Drum Dancing featuring Alex Anaviapik at 11 a.m., noon, and 1 p.m.
  • Pow Wow Dance with Tribal Vision at 11 a.m., noon, and 1 p.m.
  • Lacrosse sessions at 2 p.m., 3 p.m., and 4 p.m.
  • Hoop Dancing Workshops led by Nikki Shawan at 2 p.m., 3 p.m., and 4 p.m.
  • Pow Wow Boot Camp with Santee Smith at 2 p.m., 3 p.m., and 4 p.m.

🍽️🛍️ Artisan & Food Markets:
From 4 to 9 p.m., explore an outdoor market showcasing the beautiful craftsmanship of Indigenous artisans. Discover handmade crafts, stunning visual arts, jewelry, and unique garments while learning the stories and techniques from the artists themselves! Indulge in the vibrant food market to satisfy your culinary cravings. Cash is preferred; ATMs are available but may have long wait times.

🎵 Concert:
From 5 to 9 p.m., delight in a live concert featuring award-winning contemporary Indigenous musicians:

  • 5:00 p.m.: Mississauga Credit First Nation Youth Performance
  • 5:25 p.m.: Manitou Mkwa Singers
  • 6:05 p.m.: Lacey Hill
  • 6:45 p.m.: Derek Miller
  • 7:40 p.m.: Susan Aglukark
