Inwood Canoe Club’s Sunday Open House

Join us for the exciting Open House Sundays at Inwood Canoe Club! 🗓️ From late May to the end of August, come enjoy free guided kayak trips on the stunning Hudson River, right north of the George Washington Bridge.

✨ What to Expect:

• Begin your adventure with our 20-minute guided trips.
• Sign up for your kayaking experience starting at 9 a.m. each Sunday, ensuring your spot in one of our three guided "waves" on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Choose to paddle solo in a kayak or share the experience with a friend in our tandem kayaks!

📝 Ready to Paddle?

• Make sure to complete your 2025 Season Waiver before your first visit this year.

🚫 Note: There will be no Open House on July 13; instead, we will host it on July 12 for City of Water Day – click here for details.

🌊 Wave Schedule:

• Wave 1: Arrive at 9:45 a.m., launch at 10 a.m.
• Wave 2: Arrive at 10:30 a.m., launch at 10:45 a.m.
• Wave 3: Arrive at 11:15 a.m., launch at 11:30 a.m.

👥 Additional Information:

• Paddle in one of our 12 sit-on-top kayaks or join friends and family in our “canoemaran” (accommodating up to six guests along with two ICC members).
• Safety First: All participants must be able to swim, and the minimum age for guests is 8 years. Guests under 18 will need parental supervision. Whether minors can paddle depends on daily conditions and club discretion.
• We provide the boat, paddle, and PFD (personal flotation device). No prior paddling experience necessary!
• Dress appropriately for a water adventure; wear clothes and shoes that can get wet. Please ensure to leave valuables at the boathouse or use your own waterproof bag. ICC is not responsible for any lost items.
• No pets allowed at the Open House.

Since our Open House program began in 2002, we've proudly introduced kayaking to over 1,000 guests every summer in Northern Manhattan! 🥳
