This class is for you! This class will take the mystery out of silver smithing and get you started making jewelry.Length: All DayStudents will Learn: In this class you will learn all about silver soldering. We will discuss flux, pickle, solders, torches and the 5 Points of soldering. In this “technique” class, you will solder a butt joint (stop laughing- that's what it's called) and a ‘T’ joint. Learn how to pick a cabochon and how to set it, as well as some texturing and finishing techniques. This class will remove the mystery of silver soldering and allow you to broaden your jewelry making skillsKit Contents:1” x 1½” – 26-gauge sterling silver sheet 6” – 16-gauge sterling silver square wire6” - ?” fine silver bezel wire 1 – jump ring 18 gaugeKit Price: $55All tools and equipment will be supplied. Students are encouraged to bring whatever tools they have. Instructor will have cabochons for sale at class time. Instructor will supply: All hand tools, soldering set up and finishing equipment.Student: Must supply their own cabochon. (Jeff will have some for sale and we have some for sale in the shop).
