British fingerstyle guitarist extraordinaire and renowned singer/songwriter Justin Lavash celebrates the release of his new album Witness at Jazz Dock. This is the first studio album of new material that he has produced in almost eight years, following a series of life-changing events, including two bouts of cancer and a brush with death on the operating table. Now fully recovered and musically very much back on form, Lavash brings forth an album that is a mixture of nuanced chanson and foot-tapping groove, inspired by an eclectic mixture of influences, including funk, hip hop, folk and chanson francaise.
