From 11th July, the Tartu Art Museum's project space will showcase Kaisa Maasik's solo exhibition The Lightness of Being as part of the Young Tartu exhibition series.

Kaisa Maasik’s exhibition focuses on the ordinary yet beautiful moments in life that often go unnoticed. These can include a fleeting smile between strangers, the first day after a long winter when you can finally swap your boots for sneakers, or the sound of rain gently tapping against the window. Her works highlight observation and attentiveness, gathering shared moments and everyday experiences from different people.

In a world overwhelmed by rapid information and competition for digital attention, this exhibition invites you to slow down and appreciate what usually stays in the background. It emphasizes moments that remind us that life is essentially made up of these small, genuine experiences.

The Young Tartu exhibition series began in 2017 to support emerging artists associated with Tartu. Previous participants have included notable talents such as Sten Eltermaa, Keiu Maasik, and Mirjam Hinn.
