His songs reflect family histories, regional identity, and ancestral wisdom, inspired by the stunning landscapes where Ankole longhorn cattle roam. His performances consist of dense soundscapes that captivate the audience with hypnotic call-and-response patterns. 🎤💫

Katokye's latest release, Obuhangwa bwa Banyankore na Bahororo, showcases raw and minimal recordings that highlight the intimate physicality of his vocals. 🎼✨ Captured closely by filmmaker Vincent Moon, these performances blur the lines between oral history, devotion, and trance.
