🌙✨ Welcome to the Light Up the Lake event at Spirit Lake! ✨🌙 We are excited to announce a glowing, slow-roll shoreline paddle where participants will illuminate their kayaks and glide past the beautiful lake houses in a vibrant floating display. Join us for a relaxed, visually stunning evening as we create connections within our community. 🎉

Prepare for a spectacular parade of glowing kayaks as the sun sets. Bring your creativity, lights, and positive energy!

🕣 Launch Time: 9:00 PM
Arrive early to set up your lights and gear.
📍 Launch Location: Fireside Park, Spirit Lake

🛶 Route Details:
We will begin our evening with a gentle group paddle north from the launch, passing stunning shoreline homes before looping back. This segment is a 2-mile round trip, which is perfect for kayakers and folks looking for a shorter, social cruise. After our return, those wishing to stay out longer can embark on an optional extension south toward the Island, totaling 3 miles round trip at an easy-going pace.

🧭 Group Structure:
For safety and visibility, we will paddle as one cohesive group.

• Lead paddler sets the pace
• Mid-pack light anchors maintain spacing
• Sweep paddler keeps the group together

This is a no-drop paddle, ensuring we all unite as one glowing flotilla.

🔦 Required Night-Paddle Gear:

• Headlamp (600+ lumens recommended)
• Backup light or spare batteries
• PFD worn at all times
• Whistle
• Boat in good working order

• Stay within visible distance of the group
• Keep all lights on at all times
• Expect cooler evening temps; dress appropriately

📜 Requirements (Idaho State Law):
All participants must have:

• A whistle
• An invasive species sticker
• A life jacket
