Literary Critique I: Writing Group (Austin)

Hello Writers,

Critique I is a two-hour literary arts workshop: we pre-read one published author plus two writers’ submissions, then run an in-depth critique.

What it is

An literary arts critique circle for poets and prose writers. Each session we pre-read one published author and two works from our community, then spend 2 hours in facilitated critique focused on craft, form, and voice.

Who it’s for

Writers comfortable giving and receiving detailed feedback and engaging with contemporary poetry/prose.

How it works

Pre-reading required. We’ll share PDFs and the writers’ submissions beforehand.

Cost

This is a free community event. If you’d like to support the work, optional donations help cover website costs, musicians at social events, and materials for craft sessions.
