London Obligato Collective - Beyond Bach: Leipzig Connections

This duo concert features a centerpiece of J. S. Bach’s sonatas, celebrated for their intricate interplay. Alongside Bach, experience the works of Christoph Graupner, who was a preferred candidate for Cantor in Leipzig, and Johann Adolph Scheibe, a contemporary of Bach from the vibrant Leipzig musical scene. 🎼

Founded in October 2023 by Masumi Yamamoto, this period-instrument chamber ensemble is dedicated to spotlighting under-represented chamber music. The ensemble’s unique approach elevates the role of the harpsichord, paired beautifully with other instruments.

In their debut season, the collective has graced renowned venues, including the National Gallery and the Horniman Museum, while also gearing up for their first commercial CD release. 🎤🎵
