Longital returns to the dance floor after five long years.

A fixture of the Czech-Slovak alternative scene, the playful and ever-experimenting band Longital is set to present its fourteenth studio album, Krajina beží dolu vlastním brehem (Slnko Records). The new release offers an intimate and experimental sonic journey—from acoustic instruments through electronic layers to a unique voice. The lyrics open up space for inner questions of existence, joy, and transience, and the album is an invitation to pause, listen undisturbed, and return to what is essential.

For 25 years, the band Longital has been known for its original blend of poetic lyrics, Shina’s charismatic vocals, bass lines played on the slap bass, and Dan Salontay’s inimitable guitar. The duo has performed on stages around the world, from Europe to the U.S. and Canada, including SXSW in Austin and tours with the Irish band The Frames and the Oscar-winning project The Swell Season by Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová.
