Maker Basics: Sewing
Want to bring your textile projects to life? Join our beginner-friendly sewing workshop at FabLab Neukölln! Get ready to explore the essentials and develop your sewing skills in this engaging monthly session.
What You'll Learn:
- How to load bobbins with thread and how to load them into the machine
- Threading the sewing machine and changing needles
- Making basic stitches
- Interpreting and creating your own sewing patterns
Through practical demos and hands-on examples, you’ll walk away with the knowledge and confidence to tackle your own textile projects!
⚠️ Important Notes:
- This workshop focuses on basic tools and techniques, aiming to familiarize you with equipment for future independent work. You will not complete your own project in this session.
- Some machinery in the FabLab may pose risks; all participants must sign a liability waiver before joining.
About FabLab Neukölln:
FabLab Neukölln, collaboration powered by 42berlin and workish.berlin, is a maker space, creative workshop, and hardware lab located right in Neukölln. The 150 sqm FabLab is divided into two areas:
- A dirty lab for woodworking and metalworking, perfect for noise and dust.
- A clean lab equipped with a 3D printer, laser cutter, and textile lab for electronics and delicate projects.
