This four-week course approaches mindfulness not as a passing trend or a quick fix — but as a genuinely trainable skill rooted in neuroscience, psychology, and lived experience. The focus is on rewiring stress responses, sharpening attention, and building habits that truly last.
Habits don't shift simply because we push ourselves harder. Real change happens when we deeply understand how stress, emotion, and attention shape our behavior — and when we develop the skills to work with them in thoughtful, effective ways.

This course is led by Robin Baltrushes, a physician serving as Chief of Health Education and Lifestyle Medicine for Kaiser Permanente in the East Bay. This course is part of her training at the Greater Good Science Center at UC Berkeley.
