During his year abroad, he crafted captivating puppet shows and ESL musicals for middle schoolers, savored rice at every meal, and developed a fondness for convenience stores and the warmth of Asian hospitality. So, the big question remains: if he was so happy there, what prompted his return?

In the poignant tale of Kelly, set during the chaotic backdrop of the 1992 Los Angeles Riots, she makes her way to her grandmother’s home on the outskirts of Seoul. Here, the lines of past and present blur, revealing fractured memories that unearth buried family histories, re-defining her identity and inner strength.
