This 4-hour beginner painting class guides you through creating a stunning oil portrait of your most beloved furry companion. Throughout the session, you'll explore:

• 🎨 Materials & color mixing fundamentals
• 🐶 Capturing the unique personality and details that make your pet truly yours
• 🖼️ Individual feedback tailored to your painting
• 🎬 A live demo from start to finish — every step walked through together

You'll have the choice to paint from a photo of your own pet, or follow along and paint your instructor's. Either way, you'll leave with a strong foundation in portraiture, fresh new techniques to build on, and a beautiful, one-of-a-kind painting to bring home! 🏡

This workshop takes place at a private residence nestled in the equestrian neighborhood of Burbank. There is plenty of street parking available. Please enter through the brown gate, which will be open 10 minutes before the start of class.

Kate Sypek is a Los Angeles-based fine artist specializing in portraiture and figurative art. She has studied traditional painting methods in Florence, Italy, and over the past 9 years has built a thriving pet portrait business by merging her deep love of art with her passion for animals.
