Philosophy of Rest and Holiday

À propos de l'événement

Dear all,
as summer is a self-clear time for rest and holiday - let's talk about that!

🧠 What does it really mean to rest?

  • What does "rest" actually mean?
Why do some people return from vacation more exhausted than before? Can we truly rest if our mind never slows down?
Is doing nothing a waste of time—or an essential human need? What is the difference between pleasure and recovery?
Can silence be more nourishing than entertainment? When was the last time you felt completely present and deeply rested?

🌍 How do you like to spend your holidays?

Do you prefer travelling or staying at home? Do you recharge best alone or in the company of others?
Is vacation a time to reflect—or a time to connect? Does active or passive rest restore you more?

🏡 What do you do with your free time?

Should holidays be used to renovate the house, catch up on unfinished tasks, or simply do... nothing? Do you feel pressure to make your holiday "productive"?

  • Or do you become restless when nothing is planned?

🌱 The deeper question

During holidays, are we escaping our daily life, or creating a life we don't need to escape from? Have you ever considered that if you truly enjoyed your life and your work, you might not feel the need for a vacation at all?

  • If that were possible, what kind of life, work, or occupation would it be?

Join us for another evening of thoughtful conversation, diverse perspectives, and meaningful dialogue.
Warm welcome!
