Join us for an enriching two-day workshop focused on Voice, Listening & Harmony in traditional polyphony, led by the talented improvisers Ola Kugacz-Semerci & Mertcan Semerci! 🌍✨
This workshop is part of the P.I.E. (Performative Impro Encounters) series and aims to immerse participants in the art of performing improvisation. No need for advanced musical training—just bring a willingness to listen, sing, and collaborate! 🎶🤝
Workshop Highlights:
- Shared Vocal Practice: Explore collective sound and presence through guided exercises and group exploration.
- Cultural Influence: Draw inspiration from traditional polyphonic singing of regions like Georgia, Corsica, and Sicily while learning selected songs from the Mediterranean.
- Group Harmony: Focus on creating harmonies and embodying simple polyphonic structures, emphasizing connection over technical perfection.
- Vocal Freedom via Movement: Discover how physical awareness and movement can enhance vocal resonance and expression.
