Pips in the Park - Open Air Backgammon

Join us for Open Air Backgammon by Lake Michigan! 🌊

We're back with another Pips in the Park event this August! With hopes for minimal natural disasters, we’re excited to play some backgammon!

Enjoy the lake breeze, sip on a cup of coffee, and listen to the sound of dice hitting the board as we take over the Lincoln Park Chess Pavilion for a few hours of fun. It's summer in Chicago, and we want you to make the most of it with us!

New to the Game?

We'll be hosting a "Backgammon 101" crash course at 10:30 AM. Learn the basics of movement, hitting, and strategy so you’re ready to roll when the main session starts!

• 📍 Where: Lincoln Park Chess Pavilion (the big concrete structure by the lake).
• ⏰ When: Sunday, August 9th.
• 🗓️ Schedule: Beginner lesson at 10:30 AM | Open play starts at 11 AM.
• 💼 What to Bring: We’ll have a few extra boards, but if you have one, please bring it along.

Grab a coffee on your way and come say hi! We’ll be the ones making all the noise with the dice. If the wind gets too crazy, we'll retreat to the interior park area.
