🌟 PP, the solo project of Ukraine-born Theo Zhykharyev, showcases vibrant bass, hissing synth lines, and melancholic vocal hooks. From the lo-fi synth-punk on the breakthrough debut People in the Sun (2019) to the instrumental dungeon-synth release Stump Soup (2022), the kaleidoscopic Grass-EP (2023), and last year’s 80s rock-influenced Crashing Cars 7” and Michael Mann-inspired Heat-EP, Powerplant’s evolution is captivating.
🎤 Their latest venture, the second full-length album Bridge of Sacrifice, is a playful, black metal-influenced journey through the heavy and gothic.

🌍 People in the Sun made waves online in 2019, earning 'Best of...' accolades from Pitchfork and Bandcamp, with recognition from icons like Iggy Pop and Henry Rollins. Zhykharyev assembled a live band featuring some of London’s top musicians from Island of Love, Hitmen, and Arms Race. They've toured globally and sold out shows in Japan, Australia, the USA, Scandinavia, and beyond.
🎶 Powerplant’s intense energy was captured in a live recording for KEXP, and they’ve performed at festivals such as End of The Road, Outbreak, and Fluff Fest, sharing the stage with cult rock acts like OSees, Show Me The Body, and Ovlov.
