• Estimated Difficulty: 6/10 – Moderate to Difficult

Get ready to navigate one of Colorado’s most iconic high-alpine trails featuring rocky terrain, narrow mountain sections, and a thrilling steep descent! 🚗💨 Once you start descending, remember that the route becomes one-way, so ensure you’re comfortable with 4-Low and managing your vehicle on a long, loose grade.

Plan:

1. Gather at Rudy’s BBQ promptly at 8:00 AM
2. Depart at 8:15 AM and convoy to the trailhead
3. Air down, review the route, and hit the trail together!

What to Bring:

• Trail-ready 4WD vehicle with low range
• Full tank of gas ⛽
• Secure recovery points and recovery gear 🛠️
• Lunch, snacks, and plenty of water 💧
• Air-down and air-up equipment
• Layers and rain gear for unpredictable mountain weather ☔
