Step back in time and immerse yourself in the Revolutionary era at Andrews Memorial Chapel! ✨

Join us at Hammock Park starting at 11 AM! Explore our interactive Revolutionary War encampment featuring British soldiers from the King’s 60th Regiment and Brown’s East Florida Loyalists.
<br>
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Get a glimpse of daily life during the war by stepping into George Washington’s headquarters tent! Engage in activities like:

  • Marching and musket firing demonstrations
  • Candle making
  • Period toy activities <br>

Don’t miss the live reenactment of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, titled “A Conversation Before Signing,” authored by Michael Cote. Portrayed by Steve Beaty, Chair of the Dunedin History Museum Board, this performance reveals the tension and significance behind this historic moment.

Surrounding the performance, explore an authentic Revolutionary War encampment with historic tents that narrate the American Revolution and everyday life from that era.

As part of our Freedom in Focus: Florida’s Legacy of Liberty for America 250 initiative, sponsored by Duke Energy, this event is FREE for the community and welcomes guests of all ages!
