Remembering Blackville, Arkansas
✨ Celebrate Juneteenth with us at the 'Remembering Blackville, Arkansas' event!
📚 Join authors Carolyn Ann Butler Cooley and Wally G. Vaughn as they delve into their book, Blackville, Arkansas – Fashioned by a Former Slave: Stories from Individuals Who Remember Blackville.
Discover the rich history of Blackville, an all-Black community founded by former slave Pickens Black Sr. who, through hard work and determination, accumulated 8,000 acres of land by the 1940s!
✍️ Following the discussion, the authors will be signing copies of their book, which will be available soon at the Clinton Museum Store.
👂 ASL interpretation will be provided during this event.
