Do you find it hard to fit reading into your busy schedule? Afraid of committing to a full book? Want to enjoy and discuss queer fiction? Join us for Short Story Club: Closer Look!

Every month, we delve into a short story (100 – 8000 words) crafted by a marginalized author (LGBTQIA+/BIPOC/political activist). In a welcoming queer environment, we will analyze the story through interactive techniques, including freewriting. We'll explore themes, interpretations, and the emotions they evoke. A piece of fiction can have as many interpretations as there are readers, so come share yours!

Our next meeting will feature “Devotions,” a story by Calvin Gimpelevich, which centers on a polycule. We’ll read the entire story together at the start of our gathering, so feel free to join even if you haven't had a chance to read it ahead of time!
