Hailing from the northernmost tip of Northumberland it was her love of singing R&B that initially took Sister Suzie to the musical melting pot that is New Orleans, carrying with her, influences such as Elmore James, Irma Thomas and Willie Mae (Big Mama) Thornton. On returning to the UK to continue her musical adventure she moved to Hastings where she now resides. "A little lady with a big voice” yes, a big voice! Sister Suzie sings to the infectious rhythm & blues backbeat supplied by her fantastic band featuring: Andy Twyman on guitar, Linze Maesterosa on Sax, Andy Francis on Bass and Wes Brown on Drums.
