Join us for the summer edition of Soirée, a vibrant party hosted by the art department of the Smíchov factory! 🎉

Highlights of the event:

• 🎨 Exhibition opening at the Kostka Gallery
• 🖼️ Guided tours of the exhibitions and artists' studios on the factory's residence floor
• ✨ Art workshop for all attendees

Featured exhibitions and artists:

• Julius Reichel: Dědictví krve – A monumental installation in the former glass-blowing studio featuring hundreds of kilograms of discarded textiles, surrounded by the artist's paintings and calligraphic texts. The installation recycles matter, sign, and blood—a heritage that cannot be set aside, only rewritten again and again. Guided tour with Julius Reichel and curator Ján Gajdušek.
• Cezary Poniatowski: Deep House – A surreal exploration of an abandoned apartment as a microcosm of insects, bacteria, and viruses. Rolled carpets resemble gaping reptiles or the robes of human ghosts. Insect objects play with things like children learning how a household functions. Guided tour with curator Ján Gajdušek.

Open Studios:
Meet resident artists including Zuzana Markéta Macková, Andréa Le Guellec, Rita Koszorús, Natália Sýkorová, Alžběta Bačíková, Roza Igzawanto_nie, and Urban Space Epics. A guided tour of the studios will showcase their work and the A-i-R program concept.

Workshop:
Jak spojit nespojitelné (How to Connect the Unconnectable) led by resident artist Rita Koszorús. A collage workshop exploring how to create unexpected visual and formal connections through recycled paper, photographs, texts, and colors. Participants become directors of their own collages, creating a still-life composition as a situation rather than a collection of objects. Limited to 12 participants.
