Starwatch: Perseid Meteor Shower

Join us at the Tohickon Boat Launch parking lot for a spectacular night under the stars! 🌠 The Perseid Meteor Shower is peaking this week, so bring a chair or blanket to lean back and enjoy the celestial show. No fancy equipment is needed!

🔭 Astronomers from the Bucks-Mont Astronomical Association will be there with telescopes to provide a closer look at the wonders above and to answer your questions.

🦟 Tips for a great experience: Wear bug spray and bring binoculars or your own telescopes if you have them!

🐾 Please leave pets at home to ensure everyone’s safety and comfort and avoid potential damage to delicate equipment. Also, we've got a little request to leave laser pointers at home.

🌇 Feel free to arrive at 8:00 PM to enjoy the sunset and pre-Starwatch activities. True dark conditions for optimal stargazing will be available closer to 9:00 PM. The event will conclude promptly at 11:00 PM.

🌧️ Cloud/Raindate: Saturday, August 15th. Same times, with a focus on general Starwatching. (Stay updated on potential postponements by checking this link by 5:00 PM on the day of the event.)
