Celebrating its 60th year, the Stockade Walkabout takes place on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Schenectady's renowned Historic Stockade neighborhood — New York State's very first historic district.

This fall open house tour offers visitors an extraordinary opportunity to step inside some of the most distinctive homes in the region. Generous neighborhood residents have agreed to open their doors, sharing the architectural secrets and fascinating stories of the families who called these homes theirs throughout history.
