Dive into an exciting summer at the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium! Our summer camps provide thrilling, hands-on adventures and interactive programs for children entering 1st through 5th grade. Join us for a variety of engaging experiences:

🏞️ Camp Sessions:

  • July 7-9: Explorers of the Driftless
    Discover the breathtaking land along the Mississippi River! Campers will explore nature's wonders like rocks, bluffs, and riverbanks while uncovering the region's history. Through games and crafts, learn how to interpret the stories told by the land.

  • July 21-23: River Rats
    Slip into your mud boots and get ready for an adventure on the Mighty Mississippi! Experience river and animal science, explore our wetland areas, and learn the importance of respecting and caring for our rivers while having fun.

  • July 28-30: Survival Camp
    Embrace the great outdoors! Campers will learn essential survival skills through games and activities. They'll discover teamwork, respect for nature, and how to remain calm in any situation, all while boosting their confidence in the wilderness.

  • August 4-6: Living History at Mathias Ham Historic Site
    Experience the history of Westward Expansion and life along the Mississippi! Participate in pioneer chores, attend a one-room schoolhouse, and explore authentic settler experiences in a log cabin and a replica lead mine.
