Summer Kids Festival 2026

We expect this event to be very busy and will be operating a queue outside the shop for this event. Please bare this in mind when bringing young children to the event.We've been working on some very exciting plans for August to celebrate our 40th anniversary and are thrilled to finally share them with you all! This summer, we're inviting some of the best talent and most popular artists working in kids comics to participate in our Summer Kids Festival 2026! We'll be hosting several signings throughout the day with Jamie Smart (Bunny vs Monkey), Luke Pearson (Hilda), Tor Freeman (Boss of the Underworld) and Hugh Raine (Beano). Join us on Saturday 1st August 2026, from 12pm.We've got a killer line-up of artists signing in the shop starting with Hugh Raine, creator behind the Beano published title Betty and the Yeti, kicking us off at 12pm. Our next signing is at 1pm with the wonderful Tor Freeman, a cartoonist superstar who most recently released the series Boss of the Underworld. At 2pm, we welcome back Luke Pearson, the creator behind the critically acclaimed Hilda series. And finally at 3pm, the creator of Bunny vs Monkey, Jamie Smart will be the star of our final signing.We can't wait for this jam-packed day!
