Sunset Sounds: DJAALI (Joel Moreta) + Ward Hancock

Djaali is a Darwin-based poet, rapper, and musician whose soulful blend of hip hop, boom-bap, and storytelling creates performances that are both powerful and deeply personal. Drawing on his Filipino, Spanish, and Italian heritage, his music invites audiences to slow down, reflect, and connect.

Joining him is Ward Hancock, a Darwin-born singer-songwriter whose sound effortlessly blends reggae, soul, folk, and blues. After years of performing across Australia and Jamaica and supporting artists such as Courtney Barnett and Josh Pyke, Ward returns home with the warm, heartfelt performances he’s become known for.
