SWIRL with Lyndon Lewis & Tempestfeather

YSY resident Tempestfeather invites Lyndon Lewis for the August edition of SWIRL. Expect a playful blend of deep, minimal rollers and house grooves, from sunset through to the early hours.

Rooted in spontaneity, SWIRL is an eclectic listening and club series, where each session becomes a unique musical conversation, shaped by the chemistry between DJs and the energy of the dancefloor — powered by YSY's custom-built sound system.

Lyndon Lewis is a selector, label owner and radio host. A chameleonic figure, he is just as comfortable traversing the lineage of UK soundsystem music in dingy basements as he is playing jazz, MPB and downtempo in slick hotel lobbies, or exploring a wide array of rock styles in grungy bars. The spaces he feels at home in are countless, and he relishes the opportunity to adapt to different events, crowds and environments.

Lyndon also has a long history as a radio host, broadcasting on Etikett Radio between 2019–2023 and on Refuge Worldwide since the end of 2023. He founded the label and party Trip the Light in 2019, and earlier this year returned to Etikett Radio for a bi-monthly Trip the Light takeover.

SWIRL curator Tempestfeather is a genre-fluid selector, radio host at Refuge Worldwide, and events curator, whose approach to DJing is rooted in her background as a writer and third-culture-kid upbringing. With each edition of SWIRL, she invites an eclectic guest whose musical approach complements the series' adventurous spirit.
