Sydney Founders Pickleball

Join us for a relaxed weekly pickleball session where founders can connect, play, and have some fun! We'll have 2-4 courts booked for rotating partners and courts, perfect for a healthy start to your Wednesday morning! 🌞

Most participants are beginners, so there's no need to worry about your skill level. If you have any questions, feel free to message the WhatsApp group. 📱

Grab a coffee afterward with someone from the group to build connections off the court!

Logistics 📋

• Get your tickets via Luma. You can purchase for yourself and friends.
• All paddles and balls are provided.
• Showers are available in the carpark of ICC.

Cancellations ❌

• You can cancel within 24 hours of the event for a credit to attend a future session. Message Tim via WhatsApp to cancel.
• If it's very wet, the event will be canceled, and you'll receive a credit for a future session. Notifications will be sent through Luma via email and our WhatsApp group on the morning of the event.

Pickleball Basic Rules & Scoring 📜

Before your first game, check out this 5-minute video on basic rules and scoring. We’ll use traditional scoring rules with games going up to 11 (you must win by 2 points).

Beginner Tips 🌟

• Don't worry about looking silly; everyone does at the beginning!
• Always say the score before serving to keep track.
• Pay attention to common mistakes to improve.
• Move quickly to the kitchen line — avoid hanging back at the baseline like in tennis.
• Serves must be underarm in an upward arc. No downward or sidearm serves.
• Remember the two-bounce rule: the ball has to land once on each side before you start volleying.

General Etiquette 🤝

This is a friendly game for fun! Change partners and courts after each game, and prioritize those waiting to play. Keep score of your games to keep things moving. At the end of the game, touch paddles with your fellow players as a friendly gesture! 🥳
