Tails & Trails 5K

Join us for the third annual Tails & Trails 5K to support local pet rescues! 🐶🐱

This event welcomes participants of all ages and features a Cat Walk 1K starting at 10:00 a.m. (dogs and cats are invited to join both races). The 5K race kicks off at 10:30 a.m., taking runners through the scenic trails of Independence Oaks.

Enjoy a family fun zone and a variety of activities, alongside local animal businesses including markets and groomers! 🏞️

This year's event will benefit two amazing animal rescues:

• Great Lakes Dog Rescue – Committed to rescuing well-tempered, adoptable dogs and providing them shelter and care until they find their forever homes. Learn more at greatlakesdogrescue.com.
• Teachers Pet – A 501(c)(3) organization that facilitates animal-assisted interventions for vulnerable populations, striving to improve dog adoptability and foster community strength. More details at teacherspetmi.org.

Dogs and cats can join their owners in the race, provided they have a current license and are kept on a 6-foot leash. Please remember to keep your pet under control at all times! 🌟
