Our right to vote is under direct threat, and we cannot remain silent! Recently, the U.S. Supreme Court made a ruling that significantly weakens the Voting Rights Act. In response, the Governor has called for a special session at the state capitol to redraw Georgia's voting maps for the 2028 elections—a move that could dilute the voices of minority communities.

This session takes place just two days before Juneteenth, a time meant for celebrating freedom. It feels profoundly wrong that while our nation prepares to honor liberty, state leaders are inside the Capitol attempting to roll back the voting protections that generations of civil rights leaders fought and sacrificed for.

How can we celebrate freedom while our right to equal representation is under siege? Chris Harden is leading a community group from CD-11 to stand shoulder to shoulder with voting rights advocates and everyday Georgians demanding fair maps.

To ensure everyone in our community can attend, we are exploring the possibility of renting a bus to take us to Atlanta.
