The Big Deal at The Great Seal!

What's the Big Deal?! 🏞️ This park holds a special place in RD Chris Stangle's heart, being the site of his first ultra marathon and the first park he hosted an ultra in years! Coincidentally, there were no ultras hosted in the park between those two events. Chris trained here daily before moving to Florida, and even had his first date with his wife, Ivi Stangle, right here. Now, we are BACK AGAIN!

Distances and Start Times 🕒

• 100 Mile: 5 laps of a 20-mile course - 6:00 AM Start
• 100K: 3 laps of a 20-mile course plus 2-mile finishing loop - 6:00 AM Start
• 20 Miler: 1 lap - 8:00 AM Start
• 5K: Single loop - 8:00 AM Start

Course Description 🥾

Get ready for a course that's 95% single track and 5% dual track, featuring about 3200 feet of elevation gain! The first loop includes the notorious Sugarloaf Mt climb, with subsequent loops bypassing it. On this journey, you'll get to know landmarks like Ireland Shelter, Sugarloaf, Bald Hill, Rocky Road, and many more! 🌲

Cutoffs 🕑

• 100 Mile: 36 hours in total (21:36/mile). You must start your final lap within 28 hours (21 minutes/mile).
• No additional cutoffs for shorter distances.

Aid Stations and Crew Access 🍏

With 5 stops along the 20-mile loop, aid stations will be well-stocked with water, soda, electrolytes, hot food, and snacks. Runners can set up a tent near the start/finish area (up to 10x10 canopy). Crew access is allowed at the Start/Finish and Lick Run Aid Stations.

• 100 Mile Finishers: Big Deal 100 Mile Metal Buckle
• 100K Finishers: Wooden 100K Belt Buckle
• 20 Mile and 5K Finishers: Traditional finisher's "woodal"
• Golden Goat: For anyone completing the 100-mile course under 26 hours!

Packet Pickup 📦

FRIDAY NIGHT PACKET PICKUP IS MANDATORY for 100 miler and 100K participants.

• Location: 50 West Brewing, 1 N Paint Street, Chillicothe, OH 45601
• When: Friday, May 1, 2027, from 4 PM to 7 PM
• Race Briefing: 6 PM (for 100M and 100K)

Mandatory Gear (for 100 Mile and 100K):

• GPX file on your watch/smartphone
• 2 headlamps (or one with extra batteries)
• Whistle
• Emergency Foil Blanket
• Minimum carrying capacity of 1L of water
• Collapsible cup (provided at packet pickup)

Refund Policy 📝

RunFluent LLC does not issue refunds due to preparation costs; however, deferrals to future events are available until 4 weeks before the event date.
